These Terms and Conditions explain how we operate, what clients can expect when working with us, and the responsibilities we both share throughout the production process. By booking a service, accessing our website, or communicating with RecFocus, you agree to the terms outlined here.
We’ve designed these Terms to create clarity, protect both parties, and ensure every project is completed with professionalism and transparency.

Overview of Our Services
We provide a wide range of professional videography, photography, and drone services built to deliver high-quality visual content for individuals, brands, and businesses. Our work covers weddings, events, corporate productions, real estate, product marketing, interviews, promotional content, and custom creative projects.
Every project includes some level of pre-production planning, on-site filming or photography, and post-production editing. Depending on the scope, we may also offer creative direction, multi-camera setups, audio recording, drone cinematography, advanced color grading, or high-end motion design.
Custom services can be created to meet your specific goals. This may include extended production hours, additional crew members, advanced equipment, specialty editing techniques, or unique deliverable formats. Custom work is fully tailored and quoted accordingly.

Booking and Payment Expectations
To officially reserve your date or begin production on a project, a non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit covers pre-production planning, secures your time slot, and ensures availability of staff and equipment. Dates are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
All remaining balances must be paid on or before the date of service unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Final deliverables will not be released until the full payment is received.
We accept multiple forms of payment, including electronic payments, debit or credit cards, bank transfers, and checks.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible. Cancellations may result in additional fees depending on how close they occur to the scheduled date. Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances due to the preparation, staffing, and scheduling commitments involved. Rescheduling is based on availability and may incur additional costs.

How We Deliver Our Services
We aim to complete all projects on time and as outlined in the agreement. However, certain factors may affect production or delivery timelines, including weather, location access, unexpected delays, or technical issues outside our control. When this occurs, we will communicate clearly and make reasonable efforts to adjust or reschedule as needed.
Clients play a vital role in ensuring a smooth production experience. You are responsible for providing accurate project details, granting us access to all locations, securing necessary permits or permissions, and sharing any creative direction required to complete the work. If we arrive on-site and cannot begin due to missing information, lack of access, or unprepared conditions, additional fees or delays may occur.
Pre-production and planning are essential for a successful project. If instructions, materials, or approvals are delayed, the final timeline may shift accordingly.

Revisions, Project Files, and Final Deliverables
Every project includes a set number of revisions, outlined during the quoting process. Revisions are intended for refinements, not full re-edits or major restructuring. Additional revisions beyond the agreed amount may incur an added cost.
All raw footage, raw images, project files, timelines, and any underlying intellectual property remain the exclusive property of RecFocus. These files are not included with standard deliverables unless purchased separately. This includes raw video, RAW photos, editing timelines, color presets, templates, and original project assets.
Upon full payment, clients receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the final delivered content for the purpose it was created for. You may share, post, or distribute the final deliverables, but you may not resell, license, modify, or redistribute the content for commercial use outside the original project intent without written approval.

Confidentiality and Professional Conduct
During the course of a project, both parties may share private, confidential, or sensitive information. This may include business details, creative strategies, project materials, financial information, login credentials, or personal data.
Both RecFocus and the client agree to keep all confidential information private and not disclose it to third parties unless legally required or granted written permission. We handle all shared information responsibly and expect the same in return.
We also reserve the right to decline or stop production if conditions become unsafe, unprofessional, or violate local laws or FAA regulations.

Liability and Limitations
We take care to deliver professional services with high standards of quality and safety. However, RecFocus is not responsible for losses, damages, or delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including:
Weather conditions
Venue restrictions
Equipment failure beyond reasonable prevention
Client negligence
Incomplete or inaccurate information
Unforeseen emergencies
Acts of third parties
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in question. Clients agree to indemnify and hold RecFocus harmless against claims arising from misuse of deliverables, lack of permits or permissions, or any violations of these Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. If a disagreement occurs, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter will be handled through the appropriate Maryland courts.
We believe in fair, open, and professional dialogue to resolve any concerns before they escalate.
